Advice for the Beginning Collector

On the Brink: Ahmet Ogut and Koken Ergun, Curators without Borders Gallery, Berlin
Curated by Heidi Lee, On the Brink featured video installations by two critically-acclaimed emerging Turkish artists whose work complement one another both critically and aesthetically. Conceptually driven but executed in a straight forward documentary style, the videos addressed poignant socio-political issues in Turkey.
Exposures: Contemporary Portraiture, Townhouse Gallery, New York
In conjunction with the Philippe Charriol Foundation, Exposures was HLAA’s debut exhibition. Featuring 25 artists from around the world with artists like Kenny Scharf, Pia Dehne and Nina Levy, the show sought to challenge the traditional genre of portraiture and give it a place in contemporary art.
