Frieze Art Fair, Hugo Boss-Guggenheim Prize and Collector’s Tips

The world-renowned Frieze Art Fair this year proved to be very strong and coincided with the Contemporary art auctions including Sotheby’s sale that realized a total of 22,955,250 GPB. The fair showed off a good mix of works by fledgling and professional artists from all over the world with galleries rushing to rehang works. Miami collector, Marty Margulies, said in an interview, “When I first came, Frieze was really wild now it’s turned into a really nice event. Prices are fair and it’s always possible to find something you want.”

They represent art dealers all around the country, and recently started an initiative called ‘50 Artists for 50 States,’ which allows artists to donate works of art to a museum and get a tax deduction for the market value of the work of art.
